Buliisa Justice Centre Handed Over

On Thursday, September 2, 2021, the Buliisa Justice Centre was handed over to the Judiciary and the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution by the Project Contractors, BMK (U) LTD.
The Shs1.6 billion project which started in April 2019 was funded by the Justice Law and Order Sector.
The Centre is comprised of a court administration block and a court hall, as well as the residence and offices of the Resident State Attorney.
Several stakeholders from JLOS institutions inspected each of the buildings, that make up the newly constructed Justice Centre in Buliisa district.
This was followed by the handover which was made by the contractor's project manager, Mr Tomson Tayebwa.
Notable among those who witnessed the ceremony was the Judiciary Commissioner Engineering and Technical Services, Eng. Dr Christopher Ebal and the Resident Magistrate Grade One, HW Kenneth Komakech.
Others included, the Undersecretary ODPP Agnes Kainza, Ms Caroline Akello who represented JLOS, and the Buliisa Town Clerk, Mr Busingye Godfrey.
Eng Ebal thanked JLOS for funding the Centre and Buliisa local government authorities for working together to realize the success of the project.
Similarly, the Undersecretary ODPP, Ms Kainza appreciated the Town Council for providing land for the construction of the Justice Center.
